Our family owned and run business is located in the foothills of Gondwana World Heritage listed group of National Park and Reserves. This is where our family operates its Certified Organic Honey farm. With heart and mind focused on conservation and the health of our bees, this pristine land allows our bees to fly freely around gathering nectar and pollen without the risk of pesticides and chemicals.

Dewars Honey is certified by Organic Food Chain Pty Ltd, a National and International accredited organisation. Our family beekeeping business decided in 2008 to produce honey as naturally as possible. We are audited annually to assure our honey complies with the requirements of the National Standard for Organic and Bio-Dynamic produce.

When choosing a honey consider this…. Certified Organic Honey is extracted in a certain way to ensure no overheating of honey occurs. Some people call this Raw Honey. Extracting honey and keeping it below 45⁰ guarantees that all the good bacteria in honey is maintained.

Most Certified Organic Honey will crystalize. This is a natural process and happens when the three naturally occurring sugars in honey separate. Most supermarket honey will not crystalize due to overheating of the honey. If crystallization occurs stand the jar of Certified Organic Honey in some hot water and the sugars will re-join. It is perfectly ok to eat crystallised honey.
